Job Summary
Kforce is seeking an HOA Exceptions Specialist in Santa Ana, CA for an onsite contract position. This role involves daily completion of non-post reports, large item reviews, and non-sufficient funds reports. Key responsibilities include fraud intake support, resolving inbound/outbound discrepancies, managing return mail, and clearing general ledger accounts. The specialist will also work with internal partners on disputes and communicate chargeback exceptions to Sales, requiring strong analytical and communication skills.
Must Have
- Complete non-post report daily
- Complete large items review daily
- Complete non-sufficient funds; Overdraft report daily
- Fraud intake support and resolution
- Primary contact for outbound and inbound discrepancies and research
- Resolve return mail exceptions
- Resolve invalid account non-post daily
- Resolve stop payment suspect report exceptions
- Resolve Verification of Deposit exceptions for unauthorized signers
- Any exception items that require client outreach provided via internal partners
- Clearing general ledger accounts
- Working with internal partners from incoming disputes from other financial institutions
- Reviewing chargeback journal and communicating exceptions to Sales
- Dormant notice exceptions
- Phone outreach to clients for exception items
- High School diploma or equivalent
- 2-3 years of work experience in financial institutions
- Able to complete work daily under tight deadlines
- Ability to communicate appropriately and effectively with all members of the organization
- Highly self-motivated and ability to work independently
- Proven analytical, evaluative, and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to handle multiple projects and work in a collaborative setting
- Interpersonal skills and team player
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong proficiency with MS Office suite required (MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
- Extremely knowledgeable on banking processes, chargebacks and returns
Good to Have
- 2-3 years of work experience as a teller
- 1-2 years of work experience in HOA banking
- 1-2 years of work experience in adjustments/returns

Responsibilities:
- Complete non-post report daily
- Complete large items review daily
- Complete non-sufficient funds; Overdraft report daily
- Fraud intake support and resolution
- Primary contact for outbound and inbound discrepancies and research
- Resolve return mail exceptions
- Resolve invalid account non-post daily

Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent required
- 2-3 years of work experience in financial institutions required
- Teller experience, deposit operations experience encouraged to apply
- Able to complete work daily under tight deadlines
- Ability to communicate appropriately and effectively with all members of the organization
- Highly self-motivated and ability to work independently

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
